Job Description

VBridgeIT Inc. is seeking an experienced Android Developer (Contract) to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge mobile applications within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and maintain high performance.
• Support and troubleshoot production systems and applications.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of mobile development experience using Xamarin, Java, and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Modern Android Architecture: Architecture Components, Navigation, Paging, Material Design.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
• Hands-on experience with libraries: Retrofit, Hilt, Dagger, Glide, etc.
• Proficient in integrating RESTful APIs and working with Firebase.
• Understanding of cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
• Skilled in offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience with performance/memory tuning tools.
• Proficient with Git and version control systems.
• Familiar with continuous integration workflows.
• Test Driven Development (TDD) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• DevOps or automation experience in code testing, building, and deployment.
• Prior experience in the airline industry is a plus.
